Ἀδελφοί, προϊδοῦσα δὲ ἡ γραφὴ ὅτι ἐκ πίστεως δικαιοῖ τὰ ἔθνη ὁ Θεός, προευηγγελίσατο τῷ Ἀβραὰμ ὅτι ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν σοὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη. ὥστε οἱ ἐκ πίστεως εὐλογοῦνται σὺν τῷ πιστῷ Ἀβραάμ. Brethren, the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “in you shall all the nations be blessed.” So then, those who are men of faith are blessed with Abraham who had faith. For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be every one who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no man is justified before God by the law; for “the righteous shall live by faith”; but the law does not rest on faith, for “He who does them shall live by them.” [RSV]

The Lord said to his disciples, “Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing before you.” [RSV]

Timothy, my son, do not be ashamed of testifying to our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel in the power of God, who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not in virtue of our works but in virtue of his own purpose and the grace which he gave us in Christ Jesus ages ago, and now has manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. For this gospel I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, and therefore I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. Follow the pattern of the sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus; guard the truth that has been entrusted to you by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, and among them Phygelus and Hermogenes. May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me; he was not ashamed of my chains, but when he arrived in Rome he searched for me eagerly and found me — may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Day — and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus. Τῇ ΚΗʹ τοῦ αὐτοῦ μηνὸς μνήμη τοῦ ὁσίου Πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ Ὁμολογητοῦ Στεφάνου του Νέου.	On November 28, we commemorate our devout father Stephen the New the Confessor.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Ἀνδρέας, συρόμενος κατὰ γῆς, διὰ τὴν τῶν ἁγίων Εἰκόνων προσκύνησιν, τελειοῦται.	On this day, Saint Andrew died for the sake of the holy Icons, after he was dragged on the ground.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ, ὁ ἅγιος Πέτρος, τυπτόμενος ὑπὲρ τῶν ἁγίων Εἰκόνων, τελειοῦται.	On this day, Saint Peter also died for the holy Icons, after he was struck.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἡ ἁγία Ἅννα, τυπτομένη πρὸς τὸ κατειπεῖν τοῦ ἁγίου Στεφάνου, τελειοῦται.	On this day, Saint Anna died, after she was struck in order to denounce Saint Stephen.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῶν ἁγίων Μαρτύρων, τῶν συμμαρτυρησάντων τῷ ἁγίῳ Στεφάνῳ, ὑπὲρ τῶν ἁγίων Εἰκόνων.	On this day we commemorate the holy Martyrs, who witness together with Saint Stephen for the sake of the holy Icons.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Μάρτυρος Εἰρηνάρχου, καὶ τῶν σὺν αὐτῷ ἑπτὰ Ἁγίων γυναικῶν.	On this day we commemorate the holy Martyr Irenarchus and the seven holy women with him.
Μνήμη τοῦ ἐν ἁγίοις Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Θεοδώρου Ἐπισκόπου γενομένου Θεοδοσιουπόλεως Ἀρμενίας, ἐπι τῆς βασιλείας Μαυρικίου.	We also commemorate our father among the saints Theodore, who was Bishop of Theodosioupolis, Armenia, during the reign of emperor Maurice.
Οἱ ἅγιοι Μάρτυρες Τιμόθεος καὶ Θεόδωρος, οἱ Ἐπίσκοποι· Πέτρος, Ἰωάννης, Σέργιος, Θεόδωρος καὶ Νικηφόρος, οἱ Ἱερεῖς· Βασίλειος καὶ Θωμᾶς, οἱ Διάκονοι· Ἱερόθεος, Δανιήλ, Χαρίτων, Σωκράτης, Κομάσιος, Εὐσέβιος, οἱ Μοναχοί· καὶ Ἐτιμάσιος, ἐν Τιβεριουπόλει ξίφει τελειοῦνται.	These holy Martyrs in Tiberioupolis: Timothy and Theodore the bishops; Peter, John, Sergius, Theodore, and Nikephoros the priests; Basil and Thomas the deacons; Hierotheos, Daniel, Chariton, Socrates, Komasios, Eusebios the monks; and Etimasios, died by the sword.
Ταῖς αὐτῶν ἁγίαις πρεσβείαις, ὁ Θεός, ἑλέησον ἡμᾶς. Ἀμήν.	By their holy intercessions, O God, have mercy on us. Amen.

Κανόνας Νηστείας	Fasting Rule
Κατάλυσις ἰχθύος.	Fish: fish, oil and wine are allowed. Refrain from meat, dairy and eggs.
