Ἀδελφοί, μνημονεύετε τὸν κόπον ἡμῶν καὶ τὸν μόχθον· νυκτὸς γὰρ καὶ ἡμέρας ἐργαζόμενοι πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἐπιβαρῆσαί τινα ὑμῶν ἐκηρύξαμεν εἰς ὑμᾶς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ Θεοῦ. ὑμεῖς μάρτυρες καὶ ὁ Θεὸς ὡς ὁσίως καὶ δικαίως καὶ ἀμέμπτως ὑμῖν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν ἐγενήθημεν, καθάπερ οἴδατε ὡς ἕνα ἕκαστον ὑμῶν ὡς πατὴρ τέκνα ἑαυτοῦ παρακαλοῦντες ὑμᾶς καὶ παραμυθούμενοι καὶ μαρτυρόμενοι εἰς τὸ περιπατῆσαι ὑμᾶς ἀξίως τοῦ Θεοῦ τοῦ καλοῦντος ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν ἑαυτοῦ βασιλείαν καὶ δόξαν. Διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ἡμεῖς εὐχαριστοῦμεν τῷ Θεῷ ἀδιαλείπτως, ὅτι παραλαβόντες λόγον ἀκοῆς παρ᾽ ἡμῶν τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐδέξασθε οὐ λόγον ἀνθρώπων, ἀλλὰ καθώς ἐστιν ἀληθῶς, λόγον Θεοῦ, ὃς καὶ ἐνεργεῖται ἐν ὑμῖν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν. ὑμεῖς γὰρ μιμηταὶ ἐγενήθητε, ἀδελφοί, τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν τοῦ Θεοῦ τῶν οὐσῶν ἐν τῇ Ἰουδαίᾳ ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.	Brethren, remember our labor and toil; we worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you, while we preached to you the gospel of God. You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our behavior to you believers; for you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory. And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus which are in Judea. [RSV]

Ἐν οἷς ἐπισυναχθεισῶν τῶν μυριάδων τοῦ ὄχλου ὡς καταπατεῖν ἀλλήλους, ἤρξατο λέγειν πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ πρῶτον· προσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν Φαρισαίων, ἥτις ἐστὶν ὑπόκρισις.	The Lord said to the Jews who had come to him, “Woe to you! for you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed. So you are witnesses and consent to the deeds of your fathers; for they killed them, and you build their tombs. Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’ that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it shall be required of this generation. Woe to you lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.” As he went away from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him hard, and to provoke him to speak of many things, lying in wait for him, to catch at something he might say. In the meantime, when so many thousands of the multitude had gathered together that they trod upon one another, he began to say to his disciples first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” [RSV]

Ἀδελφοί, ἀναμιμνήσκεσθε τὰς πρότερον ἡμέρας, ἐν αἷς φωτισθέντες πολλὴν ἄθλησιν ὑπεμείνατε παθημάτων, τοῦτο μὲν ὀνειδισμοῖς τε καὶ θλίψεσι θεατριζόμενοι, τοῦτο δὲ κοινωνοὶ τῶν οὕτως ἀναστρεφομένων γενηθέντες. καὶ γὰρ τοῖς δεσμοῖς μου συνεπαθήσατε καὶ τὴν ἁρπαγὴν τῶν ὑπαρχόντων ὑμῶν μετὰ χαρᾶς προσεδέξασθε, γινώσκοντες ἔχειν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς κρείττονα ὕπαρξιν ἐν οὐρανοῖς καὶ μένουσαν. Μὴ ἀποβάλητε οὖν τὴν παρρησίαν ὑμῶν, ἥτις ἔχει μισθαποδοσίαν μεγάλην. ὑπομονῆς γὰρ ἔχετε χρείαν, ἵνα τὸ θέλημα τοῦ Θεοῦ ποιήσαντες κομίσησθε τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν. ἔτι γὰρ μικρὸν ὅσον ὅσον, ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἥξει καὶ οὐ χρονιεῖ. ὁ δὲ δίκαιος ἐκ πίστεως ζήσεται.	Brethren, recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to abuse and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. For you had compassion on the prisoners, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one in heaven. Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that you may do the will of God and receive what is promised. “For yet a little while, and the coming one shall come and shall not tarry; but my righteous one shall live by faith.” [RSV]

Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῶν ἁγίων Ἀποστόλων ἐκ τῶν Ἑβδομήκοντα Ἑρμᾶ, Πατρόβα, Λίνου, Γαΐου καὶ Φιλολόγου.	On this day we also commemorate the holy Apostles of the Seventy, Hermas, Patrobas, Linus, Gaius, and Philologos.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Δομνῖνος πυρὶ τελειοῦται.	On this day, St. Domninos died by fire.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ οἱ ἅγιοι Τιμόθεος, Θεόφιλος καὶ Θεότιμος, πυγμαῖς τελειοῦνται.	On this day, Sts. Timothy, Theophilos, and Theotimos were pummeled to death.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Δωρόθεος, θηρίοις ἐκδοθείς, τελειοῦται.	On this day, St. Dorotheos died when he was delivered to wild animals.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ οἱ ἅγιοι Εὐψύχιος καὶ Καρτέριος, τὰ αἰδοῖα τμηθέντες, τελειοῦνται.	On this day, Sts. Efpsychios and Karterios died after being castrated.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Σιλβανός, εἰς μέταλλα βληθείς, τελειοῦται.	On this day, St. Silvan died after he was thrown into a mine.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Πάμφιλος, ξεσθεὶς καὶ φυλακισθείς, τελειοῦται.	On this day, St. Pamphilos died after he was flayed alive and imprisoned.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ὁσίου Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Γρηγορίου, Ἀρχιεπισκόπου Ἀλεξανδρείας, τοῦ Ὁμολογητοῦ.	On this day we commemorate our devout father Gregory the Confessor, Archbishop of Alexandria.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Ἀγαθάγγελος ξίφει τελειοῦται.	On this day, St. Agathangelos died by the sword.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Ἱερομάρτυρος Κάστορος τοῦ Ἐπισκόπου.	On this day we commemorate the holy hieromartyr Castor the Bishop.
