Ἐν τῇ Βασιλείᾳ σου μνήσθητι ἡμῶν Κύριε, ὅταν ἔλθῃς ἐν τῇ Βασιλείᾳ σου. Μακάριοι οἱ πτωχοὶ τῷ πνεύματι, ὅτι αὐτῶν ἐστιν ἡ Βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν.

In Your kingdom. Remember us, O Lord, when You come in Your kingdom. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [RSV]

Μακάριοι οἱ πενθοῦντες, ὅτι αὐτοὶ παρακληθήσονται.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. [RSV]

Μακάριοι οἱ πρᾳεῖς, ὅτι αὐτοὶ κληρονομήσουσι τὴν γῆν.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. [RSV]

Διὰ βρώσεως ἐξήγαγε, τοῦ Παραδείσου ὁ ἐχθρὸς τὸν Ἀδάμ, διὰ Σταυροῦ δὲ τὸν λῃστήν, ἀντεισήγαγε Χριστὸς ἐν αὐτῷ. Μνήσθητί μου κράζοντα, ὅταν ἔλθῃς ἐν τῇ Βασιλείᾳ σου.

Then the foe used eating from the tree * to get Adam banished from Paradise. * Now crucified upon a tree, * Christ allowed the Robber enter it, * when he said: Remember me * when You come in Your kingdom, O Lord. [SD]

Ἀθλητῶν πληθὺς ἀμέτρητος, Ἀρχιερέων καὶ σοφῶν γυναικῶν, καὶ Προφητῶν πανευκλεῶν, δυσωπεῖ σε Ἰησοῦ ὁ Θεός, δίδου πᾶσιν ἄφεσιν, τῶν πταισμάτων, ὡς μόνος φιλάνθρωπος.

Martyr Athletes and the countless hosts * of prudent Women and of Hierarchs, * the famous Prophets and rest, * all entreat You, O Jesus our God, * only benevolent Lord. * Grant forgiveness of offenses to all. [SD]

Μακάριοι ἐστὲ ὅταν ὀνειδίσωσιν ὑμᾶς, καὶ διώξωσι, καὶ εἴπωσι πᾶν πονηρὸν ῥῆμα καθʼ ὑμῶν, ψευδόμενοι ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ.

Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely [for my sake]. [RSV]

Οἱ τὸν δρόμον διανύσαντες, τὸν ἱερώτατον Χριστοῦ Ἀσκηταί, σὺν Ἱεράρχαις ἱεροῖς, καὶ Προφήταις ἠξιώθητε, πόλιν τὴν οὐράνιον, σὺν Ἀγγέλοις, οἰκεῖν εὐφραινόμενοι.

You who finished that very sacred race, * devout Ascetics of Christ our God, * and you, O holy Hierarchs, * and you Prophets, all were granted to * dwell with Angels joyously * in the heavenly city, as Saints of God. [SD]

Χαίρετε καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε, ὅτι ὁ μισθὸς ὑμῶν πολὺς ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. [RSV]

Ἐν φωτὶ Χριστὲ κατάταξον, τῷ ἀνεσπέρῳ, οὓς μετέστησας, τὰ παραπτώματα αὐτῶν παραβλέψας, ὡς οἰκτίρμων Θεός, ὅπως σοῦ δοξάζωμεν, Εὐεργέτα, τὸ πλούσιον ἔλεος.

To those whom You have taken, grant a place * in Your unsetting light, O merciful God, * and overlook their every sin and transgression, O our Savior Christ, * so that we might glorify * Your rich mercy towards us, O Benefactor. [SD]

Οἱ Μάρτυρές σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτῶν, στεφάνους ἐκομίσαντο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· σχόντες γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλον, ἔθραυσαν καὶ δαιμόνων, τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Αὐτῶν ταῖς ἱκεσίαις, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.

Your Martyrs, O Lord, were worthily awarded by You * the crowns of incorruption, in that they contested for You our immortal God. * Since they possessed Your power, they defeated the tyrants, * dashing the demons’ powerless displays of defiance. * O Christ God, at their fervent entreaties, save our souls. [SD]

O Planter of creation, Lord, to You does the entire world bring as an offering the God-bearing martyr Saints, as being nature’s first fruits. At their earnest entreaties, keep Your Church in a state of profoundest peace, through the Theotokos, O Lord abundantly merciful. [SD]

And Levi made him a great feast in his house; and there was a large company of tax collectors and others sitting at table with them. And the Pharisees and their scribes murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” [RSV]

Ἄξιόν ἐστιν ὡς ἀληθῶς μακαρίζειν σε τὴν Θεοτόκον, τὴν ἀειμακάριστον καὶ παναμώμητον καὶ μητέρα τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν. Τὴν τιμιωτέραν τῶν Χερουβεὶμ καὶ ἐνδοξοτέραν ἀσυγκρίτως τῶν Σεραφείμ, τὴν ἀδιαφθόρως Θεὸν Λόγον τεκοῦσαν, τὴν ὄντως Θεοτόκον, σὲ μεγαλύνομεν.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.

Εἴδομεν τὸ φῶς τὸ ἀληθινόν, ἐλάβομεν Πνεῦμα ἐπουράνιον, εὕρομεν πίστιν ἀληθῆ, ἀδιαίρετον Τριάδα προσκυνοῦντες· αὕτη γὰρ ἡμᾶς ἔσωσεν.

We have seen the true light; we have received the heavenly Spirit; we have found the true faith, worshiping the undivided Trinity, for the Trinity has saved us.

May Christ our true God, through the intercessions of His all-pure and all-immaculate holy Mother, the power of the precious and life-giving Cross, the protection of the honorable, bodiless powers of heaven, the supplications of the honorable, glorious prophet and forerunner John the Baptist, of the holy, glorious, and praiseworthy apostles, of the holy, glorious, and triumphant martyrs, of our righteous and God-bearing fathers, (local patron saint); of the holy and righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, of the Holy Martyrs Eulampius and Eulampia, whose memory we observe, and of all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, as He is good, benevolent, and merciful God.
