In Your kingdom. Remember us, O Lord, when You come in Your kingdom. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [RSV]

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. [RSV]

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. [RSV]

Λογίων τῶν τοῦ Πνεύματος, ἐπακούσας γέγονας, ὡς γῆ καλὴ καὶ εὔκαρπος, δεξαμένη σπόρον πολύτιμον, καὶ τεκοῦσα τρισμάκαρ σωτηρίαν ψυχῶν.

Thrice-blessed one, you heard the words * of the Spirit and became * like good and fruitful earth, O Saint, * that accepted the precious seed in it * and produced in abundance the salvation of souls. [GOASD]

You put to death within yourself * all demonic toxic thoughts; * and in the Spirit born anew, * Panteleimon, you made your soul alive. * Now in heaven you stand beside the King of all. [GOASD]

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. [RSV]

Ἠλλοίωσας τὸ ἄθεον, τῶν τυράννων πρόσταγμα, καὶ τῷ Χριστῷ προσέδραμες, ἀντὶ πάντων τοῦτον κτησάμενος, καὶ γέγονας θεόφρον μεγαλέμπορος.

You disobeyed the godless charge * of the tyrant emperor, * and you believed in Christ as God. * To obtain Him you traded everything, * like that merchant who found the most precious pearl. [GOASD]

Μακάριοι οἱ δεδιωγμένοι ἕνεκεν δικαιοσύνης, ὅτι αὐτῶν ἐστιν ἡ Βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [RSV]

Ὁ φέρων θείῳ νεύματι, πᾶσαν κτίσιν Κύριος, ἐν ταῖς χερσὶ βαστάζεται, σοῦ Παρθένε· ὃν νῦν δυσώπησον, ῥυσθῆναι ἐκ κινδύνων τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.

You carried in your arms the Lord * who upholds creation all * by His divine command and will, * holy Virigin. And therefore pray to Him * to rescue us from danger and to save our souls. [GOASD]

Ἐν ἀβύσσῳ πταισμάτων.

Μακάριοι ἐστὲ ὅταν ὀνειδίσωσιν ὑμᾶς, καὶ διώξωσι, καὶ εἴπωσι πᾶν πονηρὸν ῥῆμα καθʼ ὑμῶν, ψευδόμενοι ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ.

Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely [for my sake]. [RSV]

Ἰνδαλμάτων τῆς πλάνης κατέπτυσας, καὶ κορυφουμένην ἀπάτην κατήργησας, θαυματουργῶν ἐξαίσια, καὶ τελῶν τὰς ἰάσεις θεόσοφε.

You disparaged the rites of idolatry * and exposed its fraud, terminating it, * O Panteleimon wise in God, * working marvelous healings and miracles. [GOASD]

Χαίρετε καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε, ὅτι ὁ μισθὸς ὑμῶν πολὺς ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. [RSV]

Στεφανίτης ἐδείχθης πανάριστος· σὺ διὰ πυρὸς γὰρ διῆλθες καὶ ὕδατος· καὶ ἐν τροχῷ τεινόμενος, παραδόξως ἀνεῖλες τοὺς ἄφρονας.

You were crowned for your excellent victory, * for you passed through fire and water, like David said. * When mindless men had stretched you out * on the wheel, you defeated them wondrously. [GOASD]

Τῶν τυράννων τὸ θράσος κατέβαλες, τὰς δυσφορωτάτας αἰκίας τοῦ σώματος, τῇ τῆς ψυχῆς στεῤῥότητι, διαθλήσας θεόφρον ἐν χάριτι.

By enduring unbearably harrowing * torture of your body, by grace and your steadfastness * of soul, O godly-minded Saint, * you defeated the tyrants’ audacity. [GOASD]

In divinity, Christ is uncircumscribed, * and as God He holds in His hand the entire earth; * but in His body circumscribed, * He was held in your arms, holy Virgin pure. [GOASD]

Timothy, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on service gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to satisfy the one who enlisted him. An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. Think over what I say, for the Lord will grant you understanding in everything. Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David, as preached in my gospel, the gospel for which I am suffering and wearing fetters like a criminal. But the word of God is not fettered. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus with its eternal glory. [RSV]

Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. Ἄξιόν ἐστιν ὡς ἀληθῶς μακαρίζειν σε τὴν Θεοτόκον, τὴν ἀειμακάριστον καὶ παναμώμητον καὶ μητέρα τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν. Τὴν τιμιωτέραν τῶν Χερουβεὶμ καὶ ἐνδοξοτέραν ἀσυγκρίτως τῶν Σεραφείμ, τὴν ἀδιαφθόρως Θεὸν Λόγον τεκοῦσαν, τὴν ὄντως Θεοτόκον, σὲ μεγαλύνομεν.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.

May Christ our true God, through the intercessions of His all-pure and all-immaculate holy Mother, the power of the precious and life-giving Cross, the protection of the honorable, bodiless powers of heaven, the supplications of the honorable, glorious prophet and forerunner John the Baptist, of the holy, glorious, and praiseworthy apostles, of the holy, glorious, and triumphant martyrs, of our righteous and God-bearing fathers, (local patron saint); of the holy and righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, the holy and glorious Great-martyr and Healer Panteleimon, whose memory we celebrate; and of all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, as He is good, benevolent, and merciful God.
