Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are magnified exceedingly; You clothe Yourself with thanksgiving and majesty, who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, who stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You are He who covers His upper chambers with water, who makes the clouds His means of approach, who walks on the wings of the winds, who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire. He established the earth on its stable foundation; it shall not be moved unto ages of ages. If You, O Lord, should mark transgression, O Lord, who would stand? For there is forgiveness with You. [SAAS]

When Christ had appeared, you followed Him * and went wherever He went, * and you earnestly ministered * to Him with integrity, * O all-hon’rable women of God. * And when He died, you did not abandon Him, * but being Myrrh-bearers went to offer Him * ointments along with tears * full of pity; therefore we today observe * the all-sacred festival * of your memorial. Mode 2.

For the Cross.

“Let Him be crucified!” cried they who had always enjoyed Your gifts of grace; and they asked to receive a malefactor instead of You, the Benefactor, those slayers of the righteous. But You, were silent, enduring their impudence, for You willed to suffer and to save us, O benevolent Christ. [SD]

Resurrectional.

Verse: I lift my eyes to You, who dwell in heaven. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the maidservant look to the hands of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until He shall have compassion on us. [SAAS]

He who was begotten of the Father before all ages, God the Logos, became incarnate of the Virgin Mary. Come let us worship Him. He endured the Cross and submitted to burial, as He so willed. And then He rose from the dead, and He saved me and all humanity who had gone astray. [GOASD]

For the Martyrs.

Verse: Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us, for we are greatly filled with contempt; our soul is greatly filled with it. We are a disgrace to those who prosper, and a contempt to the arrogant. [SAAS]

The prizewinning Martyrs, who loved no earthly enjoyments, were accounted worthy of the bounties of heaven. They have become fellow citizens of the Angels. By their intercessions, O Lord, have mercy on us and save us. [SD]
