Ὁ λαμπρὸς ἀριστεὺς Γεώργιος, ἐν τῇ ἐνδόξῳ ἀθλήσει αὐτοῦ, τὰς ἄνω Δυνάμεις εὐφραίνει, καὶ σὺν αὐταῖς ἀγαλλόμενος νῦν, ἐπίγειον τοῖς πιστοῖς πανήγυριν ἤγειρε, καὶ συνεορτάζειν ἡμῖν τοῖς διʼ αὐτὸν ἠθροισμένοις, ὡς Χριστοῦ δοῦλος παραγέγονε. Διόπερ αὐτὸν ἀξίως τιμήσωμεν, ἀπαύστως πρεσβεύοντα τῷ τῶν ὅλων Θεῷ, δωρηθῆναι ἡμῖν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	The illustrious and valorous George, in his glorious contest, gladdens the angelic hosts on high.
