Ἐξηγόρασας ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῆς κατάρας τοῦ νόμου, τῷ τιμίῳ σου αἵματι· τῷ Σταυρῷ προσηλωθείς, καὶ τῇ λόγχῃ κεντηθείς, τὴν ἀθανασίαν ἐπήγασας ἀνθρώποις. Σωτὴρ ἡμῶν δόξα σοι.	You ransomed us from the curse of the Law by Your precious Blood. You were nailed to the Cross, and You were pierced with a spear, and You gushed forth immortality for humanity. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; and according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgression. Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. For behold, I was conceived in transgressions, and in sins my mother bore me. Behold, You love truth; You showed me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom. You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; You shall wash me, and I will be made whiter than snow. Οὐκ ἐλάτρευσαν τῇ κτίσει οἱ θεόφρονες, παρὰ τὸν Κτίσαντα, ἀλλὰ πυρὸς ἀπειλήν, ἀνδρείως πατήσαντες, χαίροντες ἔψαλλον. Ὑπερύμνητε, ὁ τῶν Πατέρων Κύριος, καὶ Θεὸς εὐλογητὸς εἶ.	Godly-minded three * did not adore created things in the Creator’s stead; * rather, disdaining the threat * of fire, they trampled it, and joyfully they sang: * “O supremely praised * and most exalted Lord and God * of the fathers, You are blessed.” [GOASD]

Νέφη ἤλασας τῇ πνεύσει τῶν δογμάτων σου, τὰ τῶν αἱρέσεων, τῆς Ἐκκλησίας Χριστοῦ· καὶ αἴγλῃ Ταράσιε ὀρθοδοξίας αὐτήν, κατεφαίδρυνας, τῷ Φωτοδότῃ κράζουσαν· Ὁ Θεὸς εὐλογητὸς εἶ.	O St. Tarasius, using the breath of your doctrines, you blew the clouds of the heresy far from the Church of Christ, which you illuminated with the light of Orthodoxy, as she sings to the Giver of Light, ”O God of the fathers, You are blessed.” [GOASD]

Τὴν ἀκένωτον θεόθεν εἰσδεξάμενος, χάριν Ταράσιε, τροφὴν ψυχῶν δαψιλῶς, καὶ σωμάτων ἔβλυσας, τοῖς ἐνδεέσι σοφέ· διὰ τοῦτό σε, ὡς σιτοδότην ἄφθονον, οἱ πιστοὶ ἀνευφημοῦμεν.	O wise Tarasius, you received inexhaustible grace from God, and you richly provided food for soul and body to those in need. Therefore we the faithful extol you as a magnanimous provider. [GOASD]

Ὁ ἀχώρητος τῇ φύσει τῆς Θεότητος, καὶ ἀπερίγραπτος, Λόγος Θεοῦ γεννηθείς, ἐκ σοῦ σαρκὶ Πάναγνε καὶ παναμώμητε, προσιτός ἐστι, καὶ ἐν εἰκόνι γράφεται, ὡς σαφῶς ἐνανθρωπήσας.	All-pure and all-blameless Virgin, the Logos of God, who in His divine nature is uncontainable and uncircumscribable, was physically born from you, and He is now accessible. Since He truly became human, He may be depicted in icons. [GOASD]

Παῖδας εὐαγεῖς ἐν τῇ καμίνῳ, ὁ τόκος τῆς Θεοτόκου διεσώσατο, τότε μὲν τυπούμενος, νῦν δὲ ἐνεργούμενος, τὴν οἰκουμένην ἅπασαν, ἀγείρει ψάλλουσαν. Τὸν Κύριον ὑμνεῖτε τὰ ἔργα, καὶ ὑπερυψοῦτε, εἰς πάντας τοὺς αἰῶνας.	Guiltless were those Servants in the furnace. * The Son of the Theotokos went and rescued them. * He who was prefigured then, * having been incarnate now, * is gathering the whole wide world into His Church to sing: * “O all you works of the Lord, to all ages * sing praises to the Lord and exalt Him beyond measure.” [GOASD]

O Hierarch, you irrigated the entire Church of Christ with the waters of doctrines, and you cultivated and increased therein the divine seeds of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as she bears fruit, she sings, “We exalt You beyond measure, O Christ, unto the ages.” [GOASD]
Στίχ. Εὐλογεῖτε, ὕδατα πάντα τὰ ὑπεράνω τῶν οὐρανῶν, πᾶσαι αἱ Δυνάμεις Κυρίου, τὸν Κύριον· ὑμνεῖτε καὶ ὑπερυψοῦτε αὐτὸν εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας.	Verse: Bless the Lord, all you waters above the heaven, all you powers of the Lord, and exalt Him beyond measure, unto all the ages. [SAAS]
Μύρῳ νοητῷ τοῦ Παρακλήτου, χρισθεὶς ὡς ἱερεὺς Πάτερ Ταράσιε, τῆς ἱερουργίας σου, τὴν στολὴν ἐποίκιλας, τῶν ἀρετῶν τοῖς χρώμασι καὶ ταῖς λαμπρότησι· διὸ καὶ ἱερούργεις κραυγάζων· Σὲ ὑπερυψοῦμεν, Χριστὲ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας.	O Father Tarasius, you were anointed a priest with the noetic oil of the Holy Spirit. You embellished your vestments with virtue, as with colors and shiny gems. As you liturgized, you sang, “We exalt You beyond measure, O Christ, unto the ages.” [GOASD]

Ὑπὸ τῆς αὐτοῦ φιλανθρωπίας, καὶ μόνης εὐσπλαγχνίας τε καὶ ἀγαθότητος, τοῦ Πατρὸς ὁ σύνθρονος, Λόγος δυσωπούμενος, ἐκ σοῦ σαρκὶ γεγέννηται Θεοχαρίτωτε· ἵνα τὴν γεωθεῖσαν ἀνθρώπων, φύσιν οὐρανώσῃ, ὡς μόνος Εὐεργέτης.	The Logos, who shares the throne with the Father, importuned by His benevolence and singular compassion and goodness, was physically born from you, O Lady full of divine grace, so that as our only Benefactor, He might make heavenly our earthbound human nature. O heavenly King, uphold our rulers, strengthen the Faith, calm the nations, give peace to the world. Καὶ ποιοῦμεν Μετανοίας τρεῖς μεγάλας, λέγοντες μυστικῶς ἐν ἑκάστῃ Μετανοίᾳ ἀνὰ Στίχον τῆς ἑπομένης Εὐχῆς τοῦ Ὁσίου Ἐφραίμ.	We now make three prostrations: i.e. we recite the Prayer of St. Ephrem (quietly or mentally), and with each verse we make a bow or prostration.
Ἄν καὶ συνηθίζεται ἡ εὐχὴ αὕτη νὰ λέγεται ἐκφώνως, ὅμως ἡ ὀρθὴ πράξις εἶναι νὰ λέγεται μυστικῶς καὶ νοερῶς ὑπὸ πάντων, κλήρου τε καὶ λαοῦ, ποιούντων τῶν μετανοιῶν κτλ.	While it has become customary for this prayer to be recited by someone aloud, nevertheless the indicated practice is that it be recited inaudibly and mentally by everyone, clergy and congregants alike, with the accompanying bows etc.
Εὐχὴ τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἐφραίμ	Prayer of St. Ephrem
Κύριε καὶ Δέσποτα τῆς ζωῆς μου, πνεῦμα ἀργίας, περιεργίας, φιλαρχίας καὶ ἀργολογίας μή μοι δῷς.	O Lord and Master of my life, do not permit the spirit of laziness and meddling, the lust for power and idle talk to come into me.
Πνεῦμα δὲ σωφροσύνης, ταπεινοφροσύνης, ὑπομονῆς καὶ ἀγάπης χάρισαί μοι τῷ σῷ δούλῳ.	Instead, grant me, Your servant, the spirit of prudence, humility, patience and love.
