Οἱ Μάρτυρές σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτῶν, στεφάνους ἐκομίσαντο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· σχόντες γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλον, ἔθραυσαν καὶ δαιμόνων, τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Τὸν Λόγον τοῦ Πατρός, Χριστὸν τὸν Θεὸν ἡμῶν, ἐκ σοῦ σαρκωθέντα ἔγνωμεν, Θεοτόκε Παρθένε, μόνη ἁγνή, μόνη εὐλογημένη· διὸ ἀπαύστως σὲ ἀνυμνοῦντες μεγαλύνομεν.	We have come to know that the Word of the Father, Christ our God, became incarnate from you, O Virgin Theotokos, only pure, only blessed. Therefore we never cease to extol and magnify you. [SD]

Remembering our all-holy, immaculate, most blessed, and glorious Lady, the Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary, with all the saints, let us commend ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God.

Σαγηνεύσαντες τὰ ἔθνη οἱ ἁλιεῖς, καὶ διδάξαντες τὰ πέρατά σε προσκυνεῖν, σὺν Πατρὶ καὶ Πνεύματι, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, διʼ αὐτῶν στερέωσον πίστιν τὴν ἔνθεον, καὶ τοῖς λαοῖς κατάπεμψον νῦν τὰ ἐλέη σου, ὁ μόνος ἐν Ἁγίοις ἀναπαυόμενος.	The Fishermen caught the nations in their nets, and they instructed the ends of the earth to worship You with the Father and the Spirit, O Christ our God. Through them establish the divine Faith, and send down Your mercies upon the peoples, O only Lord who repose in the holy. [SD]

The inspired Apostles of the Lord, * as Disciple and the eyewitnesses of God’s Wisdom, * by the simplicity of their preaching style * disparaged the fallacious philosophies * of sages and orators, while wisely enlightening * all the nations to extol * the Creator and only Master of all. Βοηθὸς τοῖς ἐν θλίψει Θεοκυῆτορ, καὶ προστάτις ὑπάρχεις τοῖς ἐν ἀνάγκαις, ἀπεγνωσμένοις ἐλπίδα παρέχουσα, καὶ ἀνιάτων τὰς νόσους καθαίρουσα, Θεοτόκε Πανύμνητε· διὸ ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν δυσώπει τὸν Κύριον.	O Mother of God, you are the helper of those in trouble, the defender of the oppressed. You give hope to those in despair, and you cure incurable diseases, O all-lauded Theotokos. Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. On December 18, we commemorate the holy martyr Sebastian and those with him: Zoe, Tranquillinus, Nikostratos, Claudius, Castor, Tiburtius, Castulus, Marcellinus, and Mark
