Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. Therefore we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you are enduring. This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering — since indeed God deems it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant rest with us to you who are afflicted, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance upon those who do not know God and upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at in all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. Τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ, ἐπερωτηθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὑπὸ τῶν Φαρισαίων πότε ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶπεν· οὐκ ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ μετὰ παρατηρήσεως, οὐδὲ ἐροῦσιν· ἰδοὺ ὧδε ἢ ἰδοὺ ἐκεῖ· ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐντὸς ὑμῶν ἐστιν. And they will say to you, ‘Lo, there!’ or ‘Lo, here!’ Do not go, do not follow them. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of man be in his day. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.” [RSV]

The Lord said to his disciples, “This I command you, to love one another. If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. But all this they will do to you on my account, because they do not know him who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. Τῇ ΚΔʹ τοῦ αὐτοῦ μηνὸς μνήμη τοῦ ἐν ἁγίοις Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Κλήμεντος, Ἐπισκόπου Ῥώμης.	On November 24, we commemorate our father among the saints Clement, Bishop of Rome.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Ἱερομάρτυρος Πέτρου, Ἐπισκόπου Ἀλεξανδρείας.	On this day we also commemorate the holy Hieromartyr Peter, Bishop of Alexandria.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Μάλχος ἐν εἰρήνῃ τελειοῦται.	On this day Saint Malchus died in peace.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ὅσιος Καρίων ἐν εἰρήνῃ τελειοῦται.	On this day devout Saint Carion died in peace.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Ἑρμογένης, Ἐπίσκοπος Ἀκραγαντίνων, ἐν εἰρήνῃ τελειοῦται.	On this day Saint Hermogenes, Bishop of Agrigentum, died in peace.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ οἱ ἅγιοι Φιλούμενος καὶ Χριστοφόρος ξίφει τελειοῦνται.	On this day Saints Philumenos and Christopher died by the sword.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Εὐγένιος, ἐν ὀπῇ τείχους βληθείς, τῆς εἰσόδου πηλῷ ἀναφραγείσης, τελειοῦται.	On this day Saint Eugene died when he was put in a hole in the wall which was then sealed with plaster.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ οἱ ἅγιοι Προκόπιος καὶ Χριστοφόρος ξίφει τελειοῦνται.	On this day Saints Procopius and Christopher died by the sword.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Μάρτυρος Ἀλεξάνδρου τοῦ ἐν Κορίνθῳ· καὶ τοῦ ὁσίου Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Γρηγορίου τοῦ ἐν τῇ Χρυσῇ Πέτρᾳ ἀσκήσαντος, ὃς ὥρμητο ἐκ τῶν τῆς Ἀνατολῆς μερῶν, καὶ ἐλθὼν κατῴκησεν ἐν τῇ ῥηθείσῃ Πέτρᾳ.	On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyr Alexander of Corinth; and also our devout father Gregory who lived as an ascetic in Golden Rock, who was originally from the East and then came and lived in Golden Rock.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Μάρτυρος Θεοδώρου τοῦ ἐν Ἀντιοχείᾳ.	On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyr Theodore of Antioch.
Μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Μάρτυρος Χρυσογόνου καὶ τοῦ ὁσίου Μάρκου τοῦ Τριγλινοῦ.	We also commemorate the holy Martyr Chrysogonos and devout Saint Mark of Triglia.

Κανόνας Νηστείας	Fasting Rule
Κατάλυσις ἰχθύος.	Fish: fish, oil and wine are allowed. Refrain from meat, dairy and eggs.
Εἶναι ἡ νηστεία πρὸ τῶν Χριστουγέννων.	It is the Christmas fast.
