To you who were raised in the Temple, in the Holy of Holies, and who were clothed in faith and wisdom and measureless virginity, the Supreme Commander Gabriel from heaven brought the salutation, “Rejoice”; “Rejoice, O blessed Maiden! Rejoice, O glorified one! The Lord is with you.” [SD]

Τιμιωτέρα τῶν ἐνδόξων Χερουβεὶμ ὑπάρχεις, Παναγία Παρθένε· ἐκεῖνα γὰρ τὴν θείαν μὴ φέροντα ἔλλαμψιν, πτέρυξι κεκαλυμμένῳ προσώπῳ, τὴν λειτουργίαν ἐπιτελοῦσιν· αὐτὴ δὲ σεσαρκωμένον τὸν Λόγον, αὐτόπτως ὁρῶσα φέρεις· ὃν ἀπαύστως ἱκέτευε, ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν. Ὁ θαυμαστώσας ἐπὶ γῆς σοὺς Ἁγίους, πρὸ τῆς δευτέρας σου φρικτῆς παρουσίας, τῇ παραδόξῳ ἔδειξας τῶν Παίδων Χριστέ, ἐγέρσει τὴν ἀνάστασιν, τοῖς αὐτὴν ἀγνοοῦσιν, ἄφθαρτα καὶ σώματα, καὶ ἐσθῆτας ἐχόντων· καὶ βασιλέα ἔπεισας βοᾶν· Ὄντως ὑπάρχει νεκρῶν ἡ Ἀνάστασις.	O God, You are wondrous in Your Saints on earth. Even prior to Your awesome Second Coming, O Christ, You showed the resurrection to those who were ignorant of it, by marvelously resurrecting the Seven Youths, whose bodies and clothing remained free of decay. And You convinced the Emperor to proclaim, “Truly there is resurrection of the dead!” [SD]

Τῇ Δʹ τοῦ αὐτοῦ μηνός μνήμη τῶν Ἁγίων ἑπτὰ Παίδων τῶν ἐν Ἐφέσῳ, Μαξιμιλιανοῦ, Ἑξακουστωδιανοῦ, Ἰαμβλίχου, Μαρτινιανοῦ, Διονυσίου, Ἰωάννου, καὶ Κωνσταντίνου, ὅτε ἐκ τοῦ ὕπνου ἐξανέστησαν.	On August 4, we commemorate the rising from sleep of the holy Seven Youths of Ephesus: Maximilian, Exacustodian, Jamblichus, Martinian, Dionysius, John, and Constantine.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῆς Ἀνακομιδῆς τῶν Λειψάνων τῆς Ὁσίας Μητρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ Μάρτυρος Εὐδοκίας.	On this day we also commemorate the recovery of the relics of our devout mother Evdokia, the Martyr.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ ἅγιος Μάρτυς Θαθουήλ, ἐν μελέᾳ κρεμασθείς, τελειοῦται.	On this day, the holy Martyr Thathuel died when he was hanged from an apple tree.
