The sepulcher had been opened, and Hades was lamenting. And Mary cried aloud to the Apostles in hiding, “You laborers of the vineyard, go out and proclaim the message of the resurrection: The Lord has risen and granted to the world the great mercy.” [GOASD]

Standing by Your sepulcher was Mary Magdalene, O Lord, and she was weeping loudly; and mistaking You for the gardener, she said to You, “Where have you laid Him who is everlasting life? Mode pl. 2.

Life was placed in the tomb, and a seal was placed on the stone. The soldiers were guarding Christ like a sleeping king. Then the Lord struck His enemies and stunned them, as He awoke and rose. [GOASD]

Glory.

Jonah was a sign of Your burial, and Symeon revealed Your rising as God, O immortal Lord. In the tomb as a dead man, You went down into Hades, and You broke down its gates. Then You rose from the dead without decay as the Master, for the salvation of the world, O Christ our God, giving light to those who sat in darkness. [GOASD]

O Virgin Theotokos, implore Your Son, Christ our God, who voluntarily was nailed to the Cross, and who rose from the dead; and entreat Him to save our souls. [GOASD]

On this day, O martyr saint Panteleimon, * your distinguished martyrdom is celebrated everywhere. * We glorify the Giver-of-Life, * for He has made you a powerful patron Saint. [SD]

Virgin Mother, open wide your undefiled arms, * and thereby protect us all who put our every hope in you * and who cry out to your Son and pray, * “O Christ our God, give Your mercy to all of us.” [SD]

Blessed are You, O Lord, teach me Your statutes.

When the hosts of the Angels saw how You were accounted among the dead, they all marveled. You, O Savior, are the One who destroyed the might of death; and when You arose You raised Adam with yourself and from Hades liberated everyone. [SD]

“Why do you mingle the ointments with your tears full of pity, O women disciples?” Thus the Angel who was shining in the tomb cried to the myrrh-bearing women. “See for yourselves the empty tomb and understand, that the Savior has risen from the sepulcher.”

Blessed are You, O Lord, teach me Your statutes.

Very early in the morning, the myrrh-bearing women were hastening to Your tomb lamenting. But the Angel appeared to them and uttered, “The time for lamentation has ended; weep no more. Go announce the Resurrection to the Apostles.”

When the myrrh-bearing women had come with their spices to Your sepulcher, O Savior, they heard the voice of an Angel clearly speaking to them, “Why do you account among the dead the One who lives? For as God, He has risen from the sepulcher.”

We bow down in worship to the Father and His Son and the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity, one in essence; and we cry aloud with the Seraphim: Holy, Holy, Holy are You, O Lord.

Giving birth to the Giver of life, O Virgin, you delivered Adam from sin, and to Eve you have rendered joy in place of sorrow. He who from you became incarnate, God and man, has directed to life him who fell from it.

The tree of true eternal life has blossomed, O Christ. * For on Calvary planted, Your precious Cross * was watered by blood and water spilling from Your holy side; * it produced the fruit of life for us. [SD]

Saint of God, intercede for us.

Rejoicing, O Martyr, you were transferred to that coveted * destination, O St. Panteleimon, where you dwell. * You were counted worthy of having * a blessed end, being truly blessed, * to be in the company * of the Master for eternity. [GOASD]

O Saint, you were granted the fulfillment of your strong desire * and the end that you longed for, as you were dripping still * with your holy blood that was poured out * and shed for Christ, Martyr Panteleimon. * With joy you received from Him * crowns of glory for your martyrdom. [GOASD]

Like Daniel the Prophet in the den had stopped the lions’ mouths, * in the circus you likewise bridled the wild beasts. * For even irrational creatures * know to respect the virtue of Martyrs. * And therefore assembled now, * we extol you, O all-lauded Saint. [GOASD]
