Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are magnified exceedingly; You clothe Yourself with thanksgiving and majesty, who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, who stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You are He who covers His upper chambers with water, who makes the clouds His means of approach, who walks on the wings of the winds, who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire. He established the earth on its stable foundation; it shall not be moved unto ages of ages. Κύριε, ἀνελθὼν ἐν τῷ Σταυρῷ.

If You, O Lord, should mark transgression, O Lord, who would stand? For there is forgiveness with You. [SAAS]

“Come see Jesus, the Messiah, now on earth. * This is He, of whom the Prophet Moses had said would come, * and which he wrote in the Torah. * In His compassion, He was sitting as mortal man * at the well, and He spoke with me. He is truly the Savior. * He is Christ, who has come to redeem the world.” * Thus to those in Sychar said the woman of Samaria. [SD]

Because of Your law, O Lord, I waited for You; my soul waited for Your word. My soul hopes in the Lord. [SAAS]

Father Michael, God-inspired Saint, you kept the image of God * undistorted within yourself, * and you honored properly * the depiction and icon of Christ. * And you extinguished the prate of heretics, * by firmly teaching correct theology. * Marvelous was your fight * and your mighty struggles on behalf of truth, * by which you were pleasing to almighty Christ our King! Beside Jacob’s well sat Jesus, where He found the Samaritan woman; and He asked her for water, He being the One who covers the earth with clouds. How amazing! He who rides on the Cherubim conversed with a promiscuous woman. He who suspended the earth in the waters was asking for water. He who pours out fountains and pools was requesting a drink of water. He truly wanted to get her back, since she had been caught by the hostile enemy; He wanted to give her a drink of the water of life, since she was dreadfully aflame in her offenses, as the only compassionate Lord who loves humanity. [SD]

O Christ, in possession of Your Cross as a source of help forevermore, with ease we trample underfoot the snares of the enemy. [SD]

Verse: I lift my eyes to You, who dwell in heaven. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the maidservant look to the hands of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until He shall have compassion on us. [SAAS]
