Resurrectional.

Mode 4.

Looking up at the entrance to the sepulcher, then unable to endure the Angel’s radiance, the Myrrh-bearing Women were frightened; and perplexed they said, “Has He been stolen, who opened Paradise to the Robber? Has He arisen, who before His Passion announced His rising?” Indeed, Christ God has truly risen, granting life and resurrection to those in the netherworld. [GOASD]

For compunction.

Verse: O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, nor chasten me in Your anger. [SAAS]

O Lord, visit my humble soul, which as spent the entire time of this life in sins. Accept me and save me, as You once did the harlot. [SD]

The hosts of the Angels are in attendance today, for the observance of the memory of the prize-winning martyrs, to illumine the minds of the faithful, and to brighten the civilized world with grace. O God, be importuned by them, and grant us Your great mercy. [SD]

On May 19 we commemorate the holy Hieromartyr Patrick, Bishop of Prusa, and those with him: Akakios, Menander, and Polyaenus.

On this day we also commemorate our righteous Father Memnon the Wonder-worker.

On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyr Acoluthus.

The holy Martyr Kyriake died by fire.

The holy Martyr Theotima died by the sword.
