The Angel who had come to the sepulcher said to the Myrrh-bearing women, “Ointments are appropriate for mortal men; but Christ is indeed a stranger to decay. Now go proclaim that the Lord has risen and granted to the world the great mercy.” [GOASD]

Τὸν Σταυρόν σου, Χριστέ, προσκυνοῦμεν καὶ τὴν ἁγίαν σου ἀνάστασιν ὑμνοῦμεν καὶ δοξάζομεν· σὺ γὰρ εἶ Θεὸς ἡμῶν, ἐκτός σου ἄλλον οὐκ οἴδαμεν, τὸ ὄνομά σου ὀνομάζομεν. Come, all faithful, let us venerate the holy Resurrection of Christ; for behold, through the Cross, joy has come to the whole world. In saying Rejoice to the myrrh-bearers, You allayed the lament of the first mother Eve, at Your Resurrection, O Christ our God. And You ordered Your Apostles to proclaim, * “The Savior has risen from the sepulcher.” [SD]

Τὸν ἀσφαλῶς τὰ τῆς σοφίας δόγματα, ἐν ταῖς ψυχαῖς τῶν εὐσεβούντων θέμενον, ἐν αἰνέσει μακαρίσωμεν, τὸν θεηγόρον πάντες Σίμωνα· τῷ θρόνῳ γὰρ τῆς δόξης νῦν παρίσταται, καὶ σὺν τοῖς ἀσωμάτοις ἐπαγάλλεται, πρεσβεύων ἀπαύστως ὑπὲρ πάντων ἡμῶν.	Come, let us bless the memory of the Lord’s apostle, Simon, ⁄ who confirmed the teaching of Christ in the souls of the faithful. ⁄ Now he stands before the divine glory together with the angels, ⁄⁄ interceding for the salvation of us all! Τοῦ Ἀποστόλου τὴν μνήμην πάντες ὡς σωτηρίας ἡμέραν, εὐφημήσωμεν νῦν, καὶ εὐσεβῶς μακαρίσωμεν· αὕτη γὰρ πάσῃ τῇ οἰκουμένῃ, ὥσπερ ἥλιος λάμπει, φωτὸς ἀκτῖσι πᾶσαν ἀχλὺν ἐκδιώκουσα καὶ καταλάμπουσα τοὺς πόθῳ ταύτην γεραίροντας. Διὸ προθύμως συνδράμωμεν ἀνυμνοῦντες, αὐτὸν ὡς χρέος· αὐτὸς γὰρ Χριστῷ παρίσταται, πρεσβεύων ἀπαύστως ὑπὲρ πάντων ἡμῶν.	Let us all now extol the memory of the Apostle and solemnly call it blessed, as a day of salvation. For it shines like a sun on the entire world, and it drives away the fog with its rays of light, and it brightly shines on those who observe it with longing and honor it with faith. So, let us enthusiastically assemble and extol him as is our duty. For he stands near Christ, unceasingly interceding for the salvation of us all. [SD]

Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῶν Ἁγίων Μαρτύρων Ἀλφειοῦ, Φιλαδέλφου καὶ Κυπρίνου.	On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyrs Alphaeus, Philadelphus, and Cyprinus.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ Ὁσίου Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Ἡσυχίου τοῦ Ὁμολογητοῦ.	On this day we also commemorate our devout Father Hesychius the Confessor.
