God and Lord of all, ruling with the Son and the Holy Spirit, shined in one Godhead, and has made believers to be godly. He, the innocent Tongue, testified of Job, that he was an innocent, true, blameless, and God-fearing man, and one who abstains from every evil thing. Therefore, O righteous Job, we sing a hymn of praise to your memory and honor you. [SD]

On May 6 we commemorate the holy, righteous, and much-suffering Prophet Job.

On this day we commemorate our devout and God-bearing Father Seraphim, who lived as an ascetic on Mt. Domvu.

By their holy intercessions, O God, have mercy on us. Amen.

For the Martyrs.

The holy Martyrs took the Cross of Christ as invincible armor, and they neutralized all the power of the devil. They were awarded heavenly medals, and now for us they have become a fortification, as they ever intercede on our behalf. [GOASD]

The Myrrh-bearing women, very early in the morning, took their spices and went to the tomb of the Lord. When they found it not as they had hoped, they reverently pondered the removal of the stone, and they said to one another, “Where are the seals that secured the tomb? Where is Pilate’s guard and special security?” Then a shining Angel appeared as a messenger to the women who were unaware, and he said to them, “Why do you mournfully seek the One who is alive and who gave life to the human race? Christ our God is risen from the dead, as the almighty One, and He is granting us all incorruption and life, illumination and the great mercy.” [SD]
