Στίχ. γʹ. Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη καὶ ἔστι θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν.	Verse 3: And this came about from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes.

Ὑπομονῆς στῦλος γέγονας, ζηλώσας τοὺς προπάτορας Ὅσιε, τὸν Ἰὼβ ἐν τοῖς πάθεσι, τὸν Ἰωσὴφ ἐν τοῖς πειρασμοῖς, καὶ τὴν τῶν Ἀσωμάτων πολιτείαν, ὑπάρχων ἐν σώματι, Δανιὴλ Πατὴρ ἡμῶν Ὅσιε, πρέσβευε Χριστῷ τῷ Θεῷ, σωθῆναι τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.	You became a pillar of patience, O devout one, emulating the forefathers, Job in his sufferings and Joseph in his temptations, and the manner of the bodiless, though you were still in body. O devout father Daniel, intercede with Christ God, to save our souls. [SD]

We have obtained your protection, O immaculate Lady, and by your earnest entreaties we are saved from calamities. In everything we are guarded by the Cross of your Son. We all dutifully magnify you piously. [SD]

Τῷ Σταυρῷ τοῦ Υἱοῦ σου ἀεὶ φρουρούμενοι, τὰς προσβολὰς Παρθένε τῶν δαιμόνων ἐκκλίνομεν· διό σε κατὰ χρέος, ἀνυμνοῦντες δοξάζομεν, Θεοτόκε πανύμνητε.	O Virgin, as we are ever shielded by the Cross of your Son, we turn away from the assaults of demons. Therefore, we dutifully extol and glorify you, O all-lauded Theotokos. [SD]

O Christ, You gave power to the wood of Your holy Cross, * for it is more luminous than flames of fire and more caustic; * for it burns away the sins of those in illness, * and it illumines the hearts of those extolling * Your voluntary crucifixion. The Church worships You, O Christ God, and venerates the cedar, pine, and cypress. And she prays to You, “Grant success to our government, through the Theotokos, and have mercy on us.” [GOASD]

Εἰ καὶ μητέρα σε ἡ κτίσις ἐγνώρισεν, ἀλλὰ παρθένον σε ὁ Πλάστης ἀνέδειξεν· ἔτεκες γὰρ ἐν σαρκὶ Χριστὸν τὸν Θεόν, τὸν Σωτῆρα τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν.	Creation knew you to be a mother, but the Creator showed you be a virgin, when you physically gave birth to Christ God, the Savior of our souls. [SD]

Ὁ διʼ ἡμᾶς ἐπονείδιστον, καταδεξάμενος σταύρωσιν, δέξαι τοὺς ὑμνοῦντας τὰ πάθη σου, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, καὶ σῶσον ἡμᾶς.	O Christ our God, for us You accepted painful crucifixion, accept us as we extol Your Passion and save us. [SD]

Ἀγαλλιᾶσθε δίκαιοι, εὐφραινέσθω τὰ οὐράνια, ἐπὶ γῆς γὰρ οἱ Μάρτυρες ἀγωνισάμενοι, τὸν ἐχθρὸν κατεπάτησαν, καὶ τῶν εἰδώλων τὴν πλάνην κατήργησαν· σκιρτάτω ἡ Ἐκκλησία, τὰ νικητήρια ἑορτάζουσα, τῷ ἀθλοθέτῃ καὶ μόνῳ, νικοποιῷ Χριστῷ τῷ Θεῷ, τῷ παρέχοντι τῷ κόσμῳ τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	Be glad, O you righteous; let the heavens sing for joy. For when the Martyrs competed, they trampled the enemy, and they brought down the deception of the idols. Let the Church leap for joy, as she celebrates the Judge of the contest, Christ our God, who alone confers victory, and who grants the world the great mercy. [SD]

Do good, O Lord, in Your good pleasure to Zion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built; then You will be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with offerings and whole burnt offerings; then shall they offer young bulls on Your altar. Ὥσπερ ἀστὴρ πολύφωτος, σὺ ἀναβὰς μακάριε, ἐπὶ τοῦ στύλου τὸν κόσμον ἐφώτισας, ἐν τοῖς ὁσίοις ἔργοις σου, καὶ τὸ σκότος τῆς πλάνης, ἀπεδιώξας Πάτερ· διὸ δεόμεθα, καὶ νῦν ἐπίλαμψον, ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις τῶν δούλων σου, τὸ ἄδυτον φῶς τῆς γνώσεως.	O blessed father, when you went up to dwell on the pillar, you shined like a bright star; you you drove away the darkness of deceitful error and illumined the world by your holy deeds. And now we entreat you: Shine in the hearts of your servants the never-setting light of divine knowledge. [SD]

O father, this poem of mine in praise of your spiritual contests is unpolished, for my heart is not pure. Alas, I have shamefully defiled it. So I pray you, O Saint: grant that with purity I may extol your way of life, at which even Angels truly marveled. For you became like one bodiless, when you received the never-setting light of divine knowledge. [SD]

Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ ὁσίου Πατρὸς ¨ημῶν Λουκᾶ, τοῦ νέου Στυλίτου.	On this day we also commemorate our devout father Luke the new Stylite.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῶν ἁγίων Μαρτύρων Ἀκεψεῆ καὶ Ἀειθαλᾶ.	On this day we also commemorate the holy martyrs Acepsimas and Aeithalas.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη Μείρακός τινος, καὶ διήγησις πάνυ ὠφέλιμος.	On this day we also commemorate a certain young girl; and there is a very edifying story.
