Let us now with songs extol the Hierarch, O people, that shepherd and teacher in Myra, so that by his intercession we may be illumined. On December 6, we commemorate our Father among the saints Nicholas the Wonder-worker, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia.

On this day we also commemorate the holy Neo-martyr Nicholas of Caramania, who witnessed in Smyrna in the year 1657.
