Οἱ Μάρτυρές σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτῶν, στεφάνους ἐκομίσαντο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· σχόντες γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλον, ἔθραυσαν καὶ δαιμόνων, τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Τῇ ἀνατραφείσῃ ἐν τῷ Ναῷ, εἰς τὰ Ἅγια τῶν Ἁγίων, τῇ περιβεβλημένῃ τὴν πίστιν καὶ τὴν σοφίαν, καὶ τὴν ἄμεμπτον παρθενίαν, ὁ Ἀρχιστράτηγος Γαβριήλ, προσέφερεν οὐρανόθεν, τὸν ἀσπασμὸν καὶ τὸ χαῖρε. Χαῖρε εὐλογημένη, χαῖρε δεδοξασμένη, ὁ Κύριος μετὰ σοῦ.	To you who were raised in the Temple, in the Holy of Holies, and who were clothed in faith and wisdom and measureless virginity, the Supreme Commander Gabriel from heaven brought the salutation, “Rejoice”; “Rejoice, O blessed Maiden! Rejoice, O glorified one! The Lord is with you.” [SD]

Διαπλέων τὸ πέλαγος τῆς παρούσης ζωῆς, ἐνθυμοῦμαι τὴν ἄβυσσον τῶν πολλῶν μου κακῶν, καὶ μὴ ἔχων τὸν κυβερνήτην λογισμόν, τὴν τοῦ Πέτρου σοι προσφθέγγομαι φωνήν. Since I have no good thought to pilot me, I shout to you the words of Peter: Save me, O Christ my God. Save me, O benevolent Lord. [SD]

Φοβερὸν τὸ μυστήριον, καὶ τὸ θαῦμα παράδοξον, πῶς ἡ Παρθένος, σὲ τὸν Κτίστην τῶν ἁπάντων ἐβάστασε, καὶ μετὰ τόκον πάλιν σώα καὶ παρθένος διέμεινεν! ὁ τεχθείς ἐξ αὐτῆς τὴν πίστιν στήριξον, τὰ ἔθνη πράϋνον, καὶ τὸν κόσμον εἰρήνευσον, ὁ Θεὸς ὡς φιλάνθρωπος.	Awesome is the mystery, and paradoxical is the miracle: how the Virgin carried You, the Creator of all, and how after childbirth she remained whole and a virgin. We pray You, who were born of her, to confirm the Faith, calm the nations, and give peace to the world, O benevolent God. [SD]

Ἀναλόγισαι ψυχή, πῶς παραστῶμεν τῷ Κριτῇ· ἐν τῇ ὥρᾳ τῇ φρικτῇ, τίθενται θρόνοι φοβεροί, καὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων αἱ πράξεις διελέγχονται· τότε ὁ Κριτὴς ἀδυσώπητος· πρὸ βήματος γὰρ πῦρ προπορεύεται, ὥσπερ ἀγρία θάλασσα σὺν ἤχῳ, κατακαλύπτον τοὺς πταίσαντας. Τῶν Ἑλλήνων λιπὼν ἅπασαν τὴν ματαιότητα, τῶν Χριστοῦ Μαθητῶν τὰ ψυχωφελῆ διδάγματα ἠγάπησε λίαν Πλάτων ὁ θεόφρων. Διὸ καὶ ὤφθη πᾶσιν αἰδέσιμος, καὶ ἄγκυρα πίστεως ἐν τῇ πατρίδι, ἧς καὶ ἡ κλῆσις σαφῶς Ἄγκυρα ὑπάρχει. Καλῶς γὰρ τοῦτον ἐκθρεψαμένη, βεβαίαν σκέπην κατʼ ἐχθρῶν, καὶ ἀντιλήπτορα θερμὸν ἐν πολέμοις εὑρίσκει, καθʼ ἑκάστην ἐκβοῶσα πρὸς αὐτόν· Βαρβάρων ῥῦσαι τὴν πόλιν σου Ἅγιε.	The godly-minded Plato put behind him all the vanity of the Pagans, when he fell in love with the soul-edifying teachings of Christ’s disciples. Thus he was considered respectable by all, and he was an anchor of faith in his homeland, which was none other than Ancyra. May Christ our true God, through the intercessions of His all-pure and all-immaculate holy Mother, the power of the precious and life-giving Cross, the protection of the honorable, bodiless powers of heaven, the supplications of the honorable, glorious prophet and forerunner John the Baptist, of the holy, glorious, and praiseworthy apostles, of the holy, glorious, and triumphant martyrs, of our righteous and God-bearing fathers, (local patron saint); of the holy and righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, and the holy Martyr Plato, whose memory we are observing, and of all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, as He is good, benevolent, and merciful God.
