O Chief Commanders of the heavenly armies, * we the unworthy now entreat you in earnest, * to fortify us by your supplications to the Lord, * and shelter us beneath the wings of your spiritual glory, * guarding us who run to you and fervently entreat you: * As the Commanders of the hosts on high, * rescue us faithful from dangers of every kind. O Theotokos, revealed through you to us on earth was the mystery, that was hidden for ages and unknown by the angels. Michael and Gabriel, foremost-ranking leaders * of the celestial and high-throned awesome beings * of divine glory, you are their supreme Commanders. * O Ministers of the Master, with all the hosts * of bodiless powers ceaselessly intercede * on behalf of the universe, entreating earnestly that He * forgive our sins, that we might find * grace and mercy on Judgment Day. O Lady, pure, graced by God, and ever-blessed, * join with the Powers in the heavens, the Archangels, * all the Bodiless Hosts, and ceaselessly petition * the Lord, who in His compassion was born from you, entreating on our behalf that before the end * He will grant us correction and the expiation of our sins, * amendment of our way of life, so that mercy await us all. And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. As you surround the immaterial throne, O noetic beings and divine Bodiless Powers, you sing the Thrice-holy hymn to God the Ruler, with your flaming lips: “Holy God, the unoriginate Father; Holy Mighty, the Son who is also unoriginate; Holy Immortal, the coessential Spirit, glorified together with the Father and the Son.” [SD]

You said in the Scriptures, O benevolent and immortal Lord, that in heaven multitudes of Angels rejoice over one human being who repents. Therefore, O Sinless One, who alone know the heart, we in our lawlessness dare each day to implore You, the compassionate, to take pity on us, Master, and send us compunction, though we are unworthy, and pardon our sins, at the intercession for us all, of the Chief Commanders of the Bodiless Hosts.
