O my soul, you have the clinic of repentance. Go to it, imploring the Physician of souls and bodies, sighing and crying, “O benevolent Lord, free me from my offenses. Προστασία θερμὴ καὶ ἀντίληψις, Χριστιανῶν ὑπάρχεις Θεοτόκε ἀνύμφευτε· διὸ σὺν τῷ Προδρόμῳ, τὸν Υἱόν σου δυσώπησον, τοῦ εὑρεῖν ἡμᾶς ἔλεος.	O unwedded Theotokos, you are the ardent protection and assistance of us Christians. As such, join the Forerunner and implore Your Son, that we might find mercy. [SD]

Οἱ Ἅγιοί σου Κύριε, ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀγωνισάμενοι, τὸν ἐχθρὸν κατεπάτησαν, καὶ τῶν εἰδώλων τὴν πλάνην κατήργησαν· διὸ καὶ τοὺς στεφάνους, παρὰ σοῦ ἐκομίσαντο, τοῦ φιλανθρώπου Δεσπότου, καὶ ἐλεήμονος Θεοῦ, τοῦ παρέχοντος τῷ κόσμῳ τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	O Lord, Your holy Martyrs competed here on earth, and they trampled the enemy and negated the deception of idolatry. Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῆς ἀθλήσεως Μοναχοῦ τινος καὶ Μάρτυρος, καὶ ὠφέλιμος διήγησις περὶ αὐτοῦ.	On this day we remember the contest of a Monk who became a martyr. There is an edifying story about him.
